Smoke

Hello Darlings,

Sometimes if not most of the time we over work not our physical bodies but our mental state.

I do understand that it's not our fault as we live in a world where the pressures of life can be so overwhelming that you can not help but think continuously/ponder on matters which have passed, are present and are yet to come.

But stop!!!!! Take a moment to relax and enjoy the present. You have learnt from your past so why not anticipate enjoying the future. Its easier said than done I know but what is there to lose.

I used to worry a lot. On average I'm sure I worried ten times more than someone of my age. I will continuously ponder on things that should have been, should be and ought to be. The whole mind racket made me worry like no man's business. One day it all occurred to me while reading The Message version of Ecclesiastics 1:2 that all the worrying was for nothing.

If the wisest man on earth who had everything he wanted: riches, women, kingdoms...you name it, had it all said all the chasing around was for nothing...The Message version calls 'nothing' Smoke

I mean I had to laugh when I read it...smoke...what is smoke...nothing...

In the blink of an eye all of life's troubles and searches where reduced to one word 'SMOKE'

So with all of life's troubles try and relax...

Take time to breathe in the fresh air

Take time to appreciate where you are and accept where you've come from in order to be ready for where you are going to.

Don't take things to heart too easily...Try and learn from the wisest man that ever lived:

AVOID SMOKE !!!!!!

Hello Blessed People,

I have had this piece up on my Facebook page for a while now and just decided to share it here as well. I have this piece up in my room and try to read it everyday. They are just little pointers to remind us of how to live life and enjoy life in the most stress free way...I got it from an email that was sent to me. I hope it helps you as much as it has helped me...

An Angel says, 'Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice.'

1. Pray
2. Go to bed on time.
3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.
4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health
5. Delegate tasks to capable others.

6. Simplify and unclutter your life.
7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)
8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.
9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.
10. Take one day at a time.

11. Separate worries from concerns . If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety . If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.
12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.
13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.
14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.
15. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.

16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.
17. Get enough rest.
18. Eat right.
19 Get organized so everything has its place.
20. Listen to a tape while driving that can help improve your quality of life.

21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.
22. Every day, find time to be alone. REPEAT...every day, FIND time to be alone.
23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.
24. Make friends with Godly people
25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.

26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good 'Thank you Jesus .'
27. Laugh.
28. Laugh some more!
29. Take your work seriously, but not yourself at all.
30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).

31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most).
32. Sit on your ego.
33 Talk less; listen more.
34. Slow down.
35. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe.

36 Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before. GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU.

'If God is for us, who can be against us?'

(Romans 8:31)

Brighter and Lovelier Days

Hello Darlings,

I am sorry for the break in transmission. So many things happening. School, projects, searching for a job...the whole works...

However I am grateful to God for keeping you all in peace and in good health.

Over a period of time I have been observing the scenes of life as I go about my daily routine. It's amazing how you can get on the bus and you feel the tension in the air as everyone is thinking about one thing or the other. You sense the stress, tiredness and unease on your way to work, at work and on your way from work.

The whole thing got me thinking one Sunday morning while I was on the bus to church. I realised that one of the reasons why we have so much unrest is because we have lost focus on who gives us peace. We have deviated from the very essence of our peace and have allowed our days to be clouded by black and greys and not brighter colours.

Yes,life throws stuff at us and makes us feel there is nothing more to hope for. But remember you have a God who will never fail you. Look up to Him the author and finisher of your faith. Things may be dragging and every other person may seem to be advancing but hold on; don't let go of Him and He'll definitely come through:

Habakkuk 2:3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.

Your Brighter day is here...don't wait for it in the mood you are in: feeling down, low and depressed. Wait for it with excitement and anticipation and with faith that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.

Have a blessed day
Yours Truly
